"Buffalo Wings" - that famous food phenomenon - comes from upstate New York where hearty folks live and passions run to exciting hockey, football, and cold weather. Nearly two decades ago, MO-JOE's founders Doug and Marlene Baggett decided to bring Buffalo wings, then a little-known treat, to Atlanta, Georgia. They established the first MO-JOE's restaurant in 1984. The response was tremendous! MO-JOE's wings have since then also made their way out of the MO-JOE's restaurants and onto party buffet tables, and into picnic baskets - all with great results.
Customers tell us that MO-JOE's wings are, by far, the best. We caution our customers with signs that read "Warning: MO-JOE's wings are extremely addictive (consume at your own risk)." Despite this warning, customers continue to consume our wings and become addicted to these wonderful delicacies.

Empire of China Restaurant founder John Yu has a passion for cooking. He has spent a lifetime in the pursuit of an art form that is a precious part of the culture of his native land. As a child growing up in Korea, his Chinese parents passed down to him the grand tradition of Chinese cooking. Additionally, John became adept at preparing a number of fine Korean dishes as well. Later John attended the National Institute of Taiwan where he earned a degree in economics. In 1982, John decided to move to America. It was here in his new home that he met and married, his wife Angela. After getting married John and Angela settled down in Jonesboro and opened the first Empire of China Restaurant. John says he is content with the restaurant business and enjoys the challenges that are a part of making a successful family business. Empire of China is truly a family business. John, Angela, and their children, Lisa and Peter, participate in the operation of the restaurant. It is this unity of purpose that has made Empire of China so successful and a favorite of diners in Henry County. Empire of China has earned critical acclaim, featured in such major publications as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The restaurant serves primarily Mandarin and Szechuan cuisine with Korean specialities, but is also American friendly with a diverse menu suited to the whole family and most tastes.

The Georgia Dome, the largest cable-supported domed stadium in the world, opened in 1992.
